Title: Clown in Rehab
Medium: Oil on art-class canvas board
Artist: Does not say. Custom framed by Al's Custom Frames, though. Al's Custom Frames "A Top the Hill behind the Biltmore Hotel."
You hear all this talk about drunken clowns, but nobody ever talks about those same clowns when the drinking ceases to be funny and the clown has had more than two or three memory lapses (called blackouts) in the past 90 days.
It's not even considered ironic to be creeped out by clowns anymore. It's a totally accepted mainstream thing, but I think this is the painting that started it all. Well, either this or John Wayne Gacy.
I can't decide whether this artist was really good and trying to make a statement, or really bad and the only thing they were trying to make was a happy clown, or a B+ in art class.
